No waiting rooms. No referral letters. No drug-rep follow-ups. A genuinely clinical process, designed for people who do not have time to take a half-day off work for a consultation.
Answer a few honest questions about your weight, your health history, and what you are hoping to achieve. The screening uses the same clinical criteria a doctor would use in person, so you know within minutes whether GLP-1 therapy is realistic for you.
If you do not qualify, you pay nothing and we tell you why. If a different path makes more sense for your situation, we say so.
Once you book the programme, we email you a lab form. Take it to Lancet, Ampath, PathCare, or whichever pathology service you already use. Most patients pay the lab from their medical aid savings account and never see an out-of-pocket cost.
If you have had relevant bloods done in the last three months, your doctor can often use those instead. No need to redo work that already exists.
Your bloods land with the medical team. An HPCSA-registered doctor reviews everything: your screening, your bloods, your goals, and your history. Then you have a proper consultation, by video or secure message depending on what suits you.
The doctor confirms whether GLP-1 therapy is right for you, explains the dose escalation plan, walks through what to expect in the first few weeks, and answers your questions.
Your prescription is emailed to you. Take it to any pharmacy in South Africa. The medication is purchased separately. Your coach is introduced by email and will be in touch for your first check-in within the week.
From there, the rhythm is simple: weekly injection at home, regular coach check-ins, bloods every three months, dose adjustments as your body adapts. Your doctor stays accessible throughout.
A rough guide to what most patients experience. Your timeline may vary based on starting weight, dose response, and how your body adjusts.
Low dose to let your body adjust. Some mild appetite reduction. Possible nausea on injection day, usually settling within 48 hours.
Dose increases. Appetite is noticeably reduced. Most people see the first 2 to 4 kg loss. Coach check-ins are weekly.
Dose increases again. Weight loss steadies into a predictable rhythm. Bloods rechecked at the three month mark.
Your target dose, adjusted to your response. Weight loss continues at a sustainable pace. Quarterly bloods, monthly coach.
