POPIA Notice

This notice explains how we process your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), and the rights you have. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.

Lawful, minimal, purposeful

We process your personal information lawfully, collect only what we need, and use it only for the purposes we’ve told you about, chiefly to respond to you and provide doctor-led care.

Special personal information

Health information is “special personal information” under POPIA. We only process it with your consent or where the law otherwise allows, and we apply additional safeguards to protect it.

Your rights under POPIA

  • To be told we hold your information and to access it.
  • To have inaccurate or outdated information corrected.
  • To have information deleted or destroyed where appropriate.
  • To object to processing in certain circumstances.
  • To withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent.
  • To lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

Retention

We keep your information only for as long as needed for the purposes described, or as required by law and professional obligations, after which it is securely deleted or de-identified.
